Setting up your Mobile Monitor 30000A with MyCareLink Heart™ App
Welcome to the Medtronic Remote Monitoring program! We are excited to have you as a valued customer and look forward to assisting you in optimizing your experience with your new Mobile Monitor 30000A with MyCareLink Heart™ App. Let's run through some steps on how to properly set up your Mobile Monitor 30000A with MyCareLink Heart™ App.
Setup
Ensure your mobile device has an internet connection. Cellular data or Wi-Fi connectivity must be enabled and connected. It may be necessary to switch between Wi-Fi and cellular to get a successful connection.

If the MyCareLink Heart™ App on your Mobile Monitor (30000A) cannot be found, contact Medtronic Stay Connected at (866)-470-7709. |
Install and update instructions:
- Press the Home button to begin navigation from the home screen
- Open the Medtronic Catalog app
- Search the Catalog for the app to be updated or installed
- Tap Installed next to the app listing
- Tap Install when prompted to confirm installation
- A message will appear saying "Your request to install was received"
- The app update will download and install
- A Blue dot will appear next to the app when complete
- The next time the app is opened, the user will be prompted to agree to the Terms and Services

If update does not appear to be successful, reboot the smartphone/tablet and attempt again. If that still is not successful, perform a hard reboot by holding down the home + power buttons until the smartphone/tablet turns off (bypassing the "slide to power off" screen), and then attempt the update again. |
- Is monitor set to smartphone/tablet on CareLink?
- If no, Change monitor model to smartphone/tablet. If the screen displays “Transmission not Received,” the patient has NOT completed pairing the implanted device and the app.
- If yes, continue to the next step.
- Pair the app and the pacemaker via Bluetooth. Patient should select “Allow” in the Bluetooth permissions dialog that will pop-up. If accidentally selected “Don’t Allow”, perform one of the two procedures to enable Bluetooth permissions.
- Navigate to Settings->Privacy->Bluetooth and toggle to enable (green) for MCL-H app.
- Navigate to Settings->MCL-H and toggle to enable (green) the Bluetooth setting.
Using the Mobile Monitor 30000A with MyCareLink Heart™ App , your login credentials is provided on the card that came with the phone. It will be a 10-digit phone number @mms.att.net (ex. ##########@mms.att.net). If the you have lost your card, you can find the Mobile Monitor 30000A with MyCareLink Heart™ App phone number under "Settings," then go to "Phone". You will see "My Number", which will be the ten digits you will enter as the User ID, followed by @mms.att.net.


- You will receive the verification email in their text messages on the Mobile Monitor 30000A with MyCareLink Heart™ App. The verification text is a SMS message, so cellular signal is required for setup. You will need to click the "Verify Email" link in the text message on the Mobile Monitor 30000A with MyCareLink Heart™ App phone to be directed back to the app.
- Log into the app by entering the provided email address and password you created to proceed to the app home screen.
- Do you know your username and password?
- If yes, Sign into Mobile Monitor 30000A with MyCareLink Heart™ App. Pair the app and the pacemaker via Bluetooth. (Follow prompt on the app). Keep the monitor least 15cm (6 inches) away and not farther than 3 ft of the device and connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data for at least 3 hours after setup. You may receive one these screens after setup. If the transmission does not complete after this screen has been displayed for more than 3 hours, troubleshoot the cellular or Wi-Fi connection, and check for other Bluetooth or electrical interference near the phone and implanted device.
- MyCareLink Heart for LINQ II displays differently than Pacemaker and ICDs. The home screen for LINQ II does not have my vitals, physical activity, or My Transmissions tiles.

- If no, please contact Medtronic Stay Connected at (866)-470-7709.
Troubleshooting
- If you get a screen that says, “Your enrollment is almost complete.” Contact your clinic.
- If you receive “Account Not Created” message,

- Select the location of your clinic and check the box that says, “I acknowledge that Medtronic will store and process my heart device information on behalf of the clinic that follows my heart device.”
- Enter your name, email address and password you created
- Enter your implanted device serial number on the app screen. If entered incorrectly 5 times, you will need to contact Medtronic Stay Connected at (866)-470-7709.
The passcode to the iPhone will be 1311. Enter the passcode using the number pad to unlock your phone. You can leave the passcode as 1311. Passcode can be changed following steps below.
To change your passcode,
- Press Home button to return to Home screen.
- Tap the Settings icon to open Settings.
- Tap on Touch ID & Passcode.
- Enter your current passcode: 1311. Select Change Passcode.
- Enter your current passcode again: 1311
- Enter your new passcode.
- Enter your new passcode again to verify.
If the you forget the passcode after it has been changed please contact Medtronic Stay Connected at (866)-470-7709.
LINQ ll
For LINQ II implants, the Mobile Monitor 30000A with MyCareLink Heart™ App will send the automatic transmissions and alerts as with any other implant. However, the Mobile Monitor 30000A with MyCareLink Heart™ App will not send an initial transmission and you will not have the ability to send manual transmissions. You can use the Mobile Monitor 30000A with MyCareLink Heart™ App as a patient assistant.

Additional Information
- Keep Mobile Monitor 30000A with MyCareLink Heart™ App open in the background and app refreshed.
- Check that the Background App Refresh setting is enabled. Tap Settings > MyCareLink Heart, and enable the Background App Refresh setting.
- Bluetooth is turned On, AND
- Device is within three feet of the implant for at least 3 consecutive hours each day. (ie, sleep with smart device powered on near patient or anytime throughout the day.)

Mobile Monitor 30000A with MyCareLink Heart™ App can be installed on up to 5 devices but can only be setup on one at a time, and cannot be used on multiple devices simultaneously. You must close the Mobile Monitor 30000A with MyCareLink Heart™ App on the current device before pairing with a new device. |
