What is the MyHeartDevice website? 

MyHeartDevice.medtronic.com is a website that provides information specific to your Medtronic heart device(s). After logging in, you’ll see a home page that displays 3 sections.  

  1. The “My Devices” section provides quick access to information specific to your implanted heart device. This section provides answers to the following questions:

    What kind of heart device do I have? 
    What kind of remote monitor do I have?

  2. The “Recommended for you” section provides helpful resources specific to your monitor and heart device, such as:

    How do I set up my monitor?
    Where can I get help with my monitor?
    Where can I learn more about my heart device? 

  3. The “Popular topics” section includes information on commonly asked questions related to living with a Medtronic heart device and/or remote monitor. 

    Are there travel considerations?
    How do I return my remote monitor?
    Are there any limitations with using common, everyday devices such as a hair dryer, microwave, power tools, etc.? 

The MyHeartDevice website includes a personalized chat feature that is available anytime, night or day. Click on the “Chat Now” icon on the bottom right corner of your screen to begin a chat session. 

 

 

How do I sign up for the MyHeartDevice website? 

The MyHeartDevice website is available to any patient in the United States that has an implanted Medtronic heart device. Registration is a 2-step process:

  1. Create a Medtronic account (A Medtronic account is required to login to Medtronic websites.)
  2. Register for access to the MyHeartDevice.Medtronic.com website.

 

Step One: Create a Medtronic Account

 

Desktop Experience: In the upper right corner, click on “Sign Up”

 

Mobile Experience: If using a mobile device, a hamburger menu will be shown in the upper right corner of the screen. Click the hamburger menu and then select “Sign Up”

 

  • On the Create Your Account page, enter country, first name, last name and e-mail address
  • Click “Create Account” and a Registration Success message will appear.

    Note

    The email address entered needs to be easily accessible. An activation link will be sent to the email address provided.

    Check the email inbox for the activation link.

    Don’t click “Send it again” unless the activation email doesn’t arrive.



 

 

  • Navigate to the inbox for the email address provided to access your activation link.
  • Open the “Welcome to Medtronic!” email and click on the blue box to activate your Medtronic account

 

  • Click “Set Up”   
  • Create Password
    • At least 8 characters
    • A lowercase letter
    • An uppercase letter
    • A number 

 

After creating a Medtronic account, you will be taken back to the MyHeartDevice website to complete registration. 

Step Two: Complete MyHeartDevice website registration 

  • Select “Patient” in the account type dropdown menu
  • Click “Ok”

  • Enter your information to verify you are a Medtronic patient 
  • Review the terms of use and click both boxes
  • Click “Ok”  

    Note
    Information entered needs to be an exact match to the information in the Medtronic patient registration system (PRS). This information can be found on the patient ID card.
       

 

Once registered, the patient will see:

  • Personalized education 24/7/365
  • Content unique to the patient’s Medtronic registered cardiac rhythm management devices
  • If enrolled in CareLink, remote monitor info will be included



How do I update my contact information? 

The MyHeartDevice website allows patients to update their contact information to ensure Medtronic has accurate, up-to-date records.  

Follow these steps to update your contact information: 

  1. Click on “My Profile
  2. Review information
  3. Click “Edit” to enter updated information
  4. Submit changes 

Maintaining your contact information will ensure Medtronic is able to send you messages about your monitor such as ordering and shipping confirmation, initial transmission received, and if your monitor is disconnected.  

What if I have a problem? 

  • Unable to register for MyHeartDevice website?

    • To register for a MyHeartDevice patient account, you must be a patient registered in the USA and must provide accurate demographic and device details.
    • If the details provided during website registration don't match the information in our patient registration records, account creation will fail, and an error message will display. If this happens, contact Patient Registration Services at +1 (800) 551-5544 to verify and update your demographic and device details.

  • Outdated or inaccurate demographic or device information?

    • If your demographic or device information is outdated or inaccurate, it can be updated from the “My Profile” page or by calling Patient Registration Services at +1 (800) 551-5544
  • Forgot password?

    • On the sign in page enter your email and click 'Next'. 
    • On the next page, click ‘Forgot password?’.  Follow the prompts.



  • Reset your password?
    • Enter your current password, then enter and confirm a new password.

  • Locked out of account?
    • On the sign in page click on ‘Unlock account?’.  
    • Follow the prompts.


  • Didn’t receive email with link to continue registration? 
    • Check your junk or spam email folders for the email from Medtronic (noreply@medtronic.com).
    • Add the Medtronic.com domain to your address book to enable you to receive e-mail messages from Medtronic.
    • Check your email security settings.  Sometimes a high setting will block e-mail messages from Medtronic.  Adjust your setting to something other than high. 

What if I get a new Medtronic heart device or monitor?  

  • The new device or monitor information will automatically update and display on the MyHeartDevice website.
  • If you get a 2nd heart device, the device information will automatically update and display on the MyHeartDevice website.
